The ps3 has a CPU known as the Cell Broadband Engine.
It has 8 cores that run at 3.2 GHz each. 6 are used for games, 1 dedicated to the OS and security and the 8th isn’t used.
The Xbox 360 uses a triple core CPU which is similar to your computer CPU. They run at 3.2GHz each.
The PS3 has 7 cores and the Xbox 360 has only 3. That means that the PS3 is two time more powerful.
Graphics Processing Unit:
The PS3 uses a GPU know as the Reality Synthesizer. It processes at 550MHz. It has 265mb RAM that runs at 1.3GHz. The RAM is dedicated to the GHU.
The Xbox 360 uses a GPU know as Xenos. It runs at 500MHZ. It has 512mb RAM, but this is also shared with the CPU so you will never use over 400mb. The RAM runs at 800 MHz for the entire system.
Disks:
The PS3 uses a format called the Blu-ray ROM. IT uses a blue laser to read the disk instead of a red one. These disks can hold up to 50GB on one disk. It reads a lot faster than the Xbox 360.
The Xbox 360 uses an old format disk called DVD-ROM. These disks can only hold up to 15GB. No where near the amount of space the PS3 has to use.

Games:
The Xbox 360 has been out longer than the PS3 so it has more games. The ps3 has over 224 games incoming or already out. The ps3 has different types of games so you can chose from a variety of games. Unlike the Xbox 360 where all games are 100% war related.

ReplyDeletePS3 is not better than xbox 360 look at the graphic on youtube they've compared bother there graphics and you dont have to buy AA batteries the controllers are the same because the controller has has this charging wire just like a ps3's controllers, and who cares about the camera imports, the 6 usb imports and ps3 is way more expensive. The only the only thing i like about ps3 three is the free oline and wifi. Once xbox has wifi and chamge that overheating promblem thing xbox will be way better

ReplyDeletethe 360 has a overheating problem and they wont get free wifi. if u actaully look at the facts u will see that ps3 costs less money. ps3 is $400 and 360 is $200. the ps3 has a blu ray player which costs $200 so that evens it out. and the ps3 has free wifi which is another $100 saving and the hundreds of dollars wasted into xbox live make ps3 cost less.
